The competition was judged by Jan Kellie, Chair of Burscough Allotments Society, Pam Greaves, Chair of the Sustainability Group and local environmentalist, and Graham Clarkson, a principle at Burscough Community Farm. They were supported by Nichola Makin who is the Parish Councillor leading on behalf of the Parish Council.
I am pleased to advise that after genuinely difficult deliberation, the results were as follows:
Best Hanging Baskets/Planters Winner: Linda Johnson, 57 Lordsgate Lane
Highly: Commended Mr J Baldwin, 5 Platts Lane
Best Front Garden Winner: Norma Mackrell, 52 Langdale Drive
Highly: Commended Des Fairclough, 14 Glenroyd Drive
Below are some of the wonderful images of the event.
On behalf of the Parish Council, thank you to everyone who took part, including the judges for helping to make our first Bloomin’ Burscough Garden Competition such a success.
